Hi, I’m Chris.

I help active adults move from recurring pain to confident performance.

Evolve Performance & Rehab was built around a simple idea: most people don’t need more treatment — they need a better process that helps their body adapt again.

My work sits between traditional rehab and performance training, combining assessment, hands-on care, and progressive strength to help people trust their body again.

How I got here

My path into this work wasn’t linear.

I originally began training as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, where I developed a strong foundation in anatomy, movement, and how pain actually works. During COVID, I changed direction and became a licensed massage therapist, which gave me a hands-on skillset and a deep understanding of how to help people feel better quickly.

Over time, I realized something important: neither hands-on care nor exercise alone was enough for many of the people I was helping.

What made the biggest difference was combining both — understanding why someone’s body was protecting itself, helping calm that response, and then progressively rebuilding strength and movement confidence.

That’s how the Pain to Performance approach evolved.

What I believe about pain and recovery

I don’t believe most pain is caused by “bad posture,” weak muscles, or damaged tissue that needs to be fixed.

I believe many people stay stuck because their nervous system has become protective, their movement options have narrowed, and they’ve lost confidence in what their body can tolerate.

I believe people need:

  • A clear understanding of what’s happening

  • Hands-on care to reduce sensitivity and threat

  • Progressive strength and movement to rebuild capacity

Most of all, I believe people should leave care feeling more confident and independent, not dependent on appointments.

Who I work best with

I work best with active adults who:

  • Have tried PT, regular massage, or other care without lasting success

  • Deal with recurring injuries or persistent pain

  • Feel unsure about returning to the activities they enjoy

  • Want a thoughtful, individualized approach instead of cookie-cutter treatment

These are often people who are motivated, capable, and willing to do the work — they just haven’t had a clear roadmap.
